In January 2020, Plaintiffs entered into a proposed global settlement agreement with the Michigan Department of Corrections to resolve all claims for monetary relief for the class in Doe, et all v MDOC and to establish a process for paying a settlement and for making internal changes at MDOC in the way it handles youth in the future.
The cases of E.D. Mich. cases 13-cv-14356 and 16-cv-13765, John Doe et al. v. Michigan Dep't of Corrections; and 2:17-cv-11181, John Does 8-10 v. Snyder, et al., pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan will be dismissed and Plaintiffs in those cases will receive compensation for their injuries through settlement of their claims in these actions.
